On Europe Day, Minister Beatriz Artolazabal proposes "a European Union for employment and social services"

The Minister of Employment and Social Policies of the Basque Government, Mrs. Beatriz Artolazabal, considers that "Europe is living a change that goes beyond a simple industrial transformation. We must achieve positive results as we advance in technology, robotics, automation, artificial intelligence and connectivity. We need a clear sustainability of the planet with energy saving and climate change management. It is a Europe for employment and social services".
On the celebration, tomorrow May 9, of the Day of Europe, Beatriz Artolazabal has indicated, "countries and states, all European society, must pay special attention to the challenges of employment. In addition, youth emancipation, equality policies, the fight against the wage gap and the incorporation of women in industry and technological careers, and the social action that achieves the maximum cohesion of our society. In all this, countries and regions like Basque Country (Euskadi in basque language) have a lot to say and contribute ".

A few days ago, the European Commissioner Marianne Thyssen indicated, at the High Level Conference on the Future of Work held in Brussels, that employment is one of the defining challenges of our time and wondered how we handle this challenge to define the future of our continent".
